Does anybody know how to repair this

Does anybody know of a fix for this? This is the connector for my iPod remote. The outer casing of the wire is coming detached from the base of the connector. I think that it was not quite fully seated when the connector housing was molded on because it has always been pulling away from this side.

I'm looking for something like a flexible epoxy to close it up of some kind of latex coating I could use to cover the gap and protect the wires underneath.

Thanks!!!

I nominate white electrical tape!

I don't know if you can get it in iProduct white, but you used to be able to find latex goo that would probably work well to seal and protect the wires...
The stuff came in like quart paint cans in a few different colors, and was intended for dipping tools in (turn cheap metal pliers into insulated pliers, cushion the handle of your hammer, that sorta thing). I don't know if it's still available or where to find it (but let me know where if you do find some!)
